Common questions

What certifications does CBM hold?

CBM is certified to ISO 9001:2015 by Perry Johnson Registrars, and is a woman-owned business.

Which aerospace materials can CBM work with?

Nickel superalloys including Inconel 600, 625, 690, 713C, 718, 751, 792 and 939, Hastelloy X and Waspaloy, plus titanium of all grades, stainless steel, aluminum and alloy steels.

How are aerospace and defense parts inspected?

Every project begins and ends in the quality department. QC technicians inspect components before delivery using a FARO Laser Tracker Vantage and FARO Edge ScanArm HD, and non-destructive testing is available.

Can CBM make a part without an existing drawing?

Yes. Our engineering department can reverse engineer parts and create CAD drawings on request, and the FARO ScanArm compares scanned parts directly against CAD.

What do I need to send for a quote?

A drawing, 3D model or photos of the part, the material, quantity and when you need it. If you have no drawing, send the part details and we can reverse engineer it.

Does CBM handle urgent work?

Yes. Emergency and rush service is available 24/7, and most rush jobs qualify for the Promise Date Guarantee. Call 704-864-6084.
