Roll Repair & Manufacturing at a glance

We manufacture and repair a large variety of industrial rolls for customers across many industries. All roll repairs and manufactured rolls are built to or above OEM specs, with the same warranty as the OEM.

Repairs start with a free teardown and inspection and FARO laser run-out checks. Depending on the roll, the work can include new journals, bearing housings, reel spool housings and clutch blocks, and new surface coatings in chrome, rubber, felt or tungsten.

How roll condition affects the repair

Whether a roll is repaired or replaced depends on what the teardown finds. Worn coverings and damaged journals, bearing housings or clutch blocks can often be addressed by recoating or replacing those components. When damage reaches the roll body, inspection and run-out checks show whether it can be restored to OEM tolerances or whether a new roll is the better choice.

Either way, rolls repaired or built by CBM are made to or above OEM specifications, with the same warranty as the OEM.
